The 6 Core Hidden Fees
Initial Delivery Fee
$75–$150Charged when PODS drops the empty container at your origin address. This is a separate line item from the monthly rental — many people don't notice it until billing.
Final Pickup Fee
$75–$150Charged when PODS retrieves the loaded container. On a local move, this is the last fee. On long-distance, there are two pickup events — origin and destination.
Destination Delivery Fee
$75–$150Long-distance moves only. After transport, PODS charges another delivery fee to bring the container from their destination facility to your new address. Many people expect this to be included in the transport fee — it's not.
Additional Months Storage

Contents Protection Insurance
$10–$470/moThe $10/month plan only covers damage to the container itself — NOT your belongings. To protect your furniture and valuables, you need the Contents Protection plan ($35–$470/mo depending on coverage level $5K–$300K). Redelivery / Address Change Fee
